Privacy at Link2Note.

What we collect

Link2Note stores the account information needed to run the service, including your name, email address, login method, session records, plan status, usage events, job URLs, job metadata, generated output paths, and messages you send to support.

OAuth sign-in

If you choose Google or GitHub sign-in, Link2Note receives the profile fields required to identify your account, such as your verified email, display name, provider account identifier, and avatar when available. Link2Note does not receive your Google or GitHub password.

Billing

Subscription checkout and billing management are handled by Stripe when billing is enabled. Link2Note stores the Stripe customer identifier and subscription state needed to apply your plan. Link2Note does not store full payment-card details.

Sources and generated files

When you submit a public source URL, Link2Note sends that source through the workflow you selected and records the resulting job. Generated Markdown, transcripts, metadata, and archive files may be stored on Link2Note infrastructure so you can retrieve them from your account.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate you, process jobs, enforce plan limits, show your library, support billing, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

Third-party services

Depending on the feature you use, Link2Note may interact with Google, GitHub, Stripe, YouTube, and the public websites you ask it to process. Those services apply their own privacy terms to data they receive directly.

AI processing

When model-powered AI modes are enabled, Link2Note may send source-derived text and your requested task to configured local or third-party model providers. Peer Review may send the same derived material to multiple models so they can produce independent analyses and review anonymized responses. Provider routing can vary by mode and availability.

Retention and security

We keep account and job data for as long as needed to operate the service and maintain your library, unless it is removed sooner. Link2Note uses authenticated sessions and access controls, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
